Yes, paintless dent repair is the greenest form of auto dent & ding repair but how? First, paintless dent repair is “paintless.” When a dent is repaired using the PDR method, the paint remains undisturbed and intact. The dent is literally massaged back to its original condition, never to return. This is a huge benefit to both the vehicle owner and the environment. Traditional body shop work will usually include repainting and the usage of other noxious chemicals including paint thinners, paint removers, solvents, and fillers. With paintless dent repair, only specialized hand tools are used to reverse the damage leaving the earth clean and unpolluted. Paintless dent repair is 100% GREEN & CLEAN.
The amount of time your vehicle will need to be in the shop for repairs depends on the severity and amount of damage. If the hail damage is subtle and relatively easy to access, the repair process will only take about 1-3 days. For medium to heavy hail damage, the process typically takes anywhere from 2-7 business days, from start to finish. Read more here..
No. Hail damage is recorded as a comprehensive claim and is at no fault to you. Comprehensive claims and ‘random acts of God’ do not affect your policy. Insurance premiums already take into account hail-prone areas and are not computed on a ‘per-insured’ basis. Much the same that homeowners’ policies in Florida already consider the risk of hurricane damage, so does your insurance policy in regards to hail damage.Learn more here.
Hail damage can be very confusing and troublesome and we are here to help you through the process, from A to Z! See entire process here.
This is no problem. Although it is optimal to file a hail claim immediately after the storm, all of your hail damage will be covered by your insurance policy if you have comprehensive coverage. Learn more here.
Waiting until the end of hail season may cause further damage to your vehicle, which may not be repairable. Your insurance may also require you to pay a double deductible, should your vehicle get hit again.

While a bonded panel can make it impossible for the technician to repair without cracking the paint, a car that has undergone PDR can be repaired through the same technique again and again.
Most cars intended for mass production and consumer use have bodies made from either steel or aluminum. Both are strong metals, but steel is cheaper than aluminum. Aluminum, however, is lighter and does not rust, and so is used for more expensive luxury and performance models than steel.
Metal behaves this way because of its atomic structure, which is called a “crystal lattice”. When metal is in its relaxed state, this lattice has a very ordered pattern, and plastic deformation occurs easily. This causes “dislocations” in the lattice. These dislocations tend to form microscopic seams in the metal.
These seams bring the metal closer to its breaking point (making it brittle) but they also resist sliding past one another (making it stronger). This is what gives metal its “memory”: the dislocations repel one another, and push each other apart. Basically the metal “tries” to force the seams back into their original positions.
Unfortunately, no. Liability coverage is will only cover the damage to the property of others or injuries to anyone that you caused with your vehicle.
Auto hail damage to your vehicle is will only be covered either by a complete collision or comprehensive insurance coverage. A collision coverage policy is pretty self-explanatory – it pays for damages if your moving vehicle hits something or if another moving vehicle hits your vehicle. A comprehensive coverage policy covers virtually everything else, including fire, theft, vandalism, hail damage, wind, flood, falling or flying objects, etc. A collision caused by an animal or with an animal is also covered.
Comprehensive coverage also typically covers glass breakage even if caused by a collision. This also means if your windshield is cracked or broken due to a hailstone, this damage will be covered.
Waiting until the end of hail season may cause further damage to your vehicle, which may not be repairable. Your insurance may also require you to pay a double deductible, should your vehicle get hit again.
